Renew
How renewals reach your installs, what the grace period is, and how to renew an air-gapped install.
Ask your 3AM contact to renew before the licence's end date. A renewal starts when the current licence ends, so renewing early costs nothing.
- Installs that reach Warden pick up the renewal at their next check-in, with no restart.
- Air-gapped installs: install the renewed file the same way as the first one (Install the licence).
- With a Keychain: renew on the home. Members take it within a minute.
The fingerprint doesn't change, so there's nothing to send us.
The grace period
For 14 days after a paid licence ends (unless your contract says otherwise), 3AM keeps working normally. The console shows in grace period: renew now.
After that, 3AM goes into setup mode until a valid licence is installed. Nothing is lost. Trials have no grace period.
Replacing the file by hand
